Job summary

Generac Power Systems seeks a Demand Planning professional to develop and maintain accurate forecasts across products and regions. You will analyze historical trends, seasonality, and promotions to support forecast accuracy and contribute to the SIOP process.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, and requires 3+ years in demand planning or related fields, with strong Excel and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in demand planning, market analysis, forecasting or related field.
• Proficient in statistical tools and baseline forecast analysis.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP.
• Strong Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update statistical demand forecasts within the demand planning system.
• Analyze historical sales trends, seasonality, and promotions to support forecast development.
• Support the monthly SIOP/IBP demand planning process through forecast analysis and cross-functional reviews.
• Perform forecast variance analysis and identify drivers of forecast error.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, and Operations to improve forecast accuracy.
• Prepare and distribute recurring demand planning reports, dashboards, and forecast summaries.
• Communicate forecast trends and risks clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support data quality and master data management in demand planning systems.
• Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify demand trends and risks.
