Job summary

Copeland in Wisconsin seeks a Demand Planner to develop and maintain the unconstrained forecast that supports the SIOP process. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning and Operations to deliver a consensus forecast driving service, inventory, and financial performance.

The role requires 3–5+ years in demand planning within manufacturing, with strong MRP and ERP skills (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite), advanced Excel, and excellent cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting.
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP and demand planning concepts.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong understanding of SIOP processes.
• Analytical thinking and scenario planning.
• Attention to detail with a big-picture mindset.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical baseline forecasts using historical data and analytics.
• Maintain rolling 12–24-month forecasts.
• Manage forecast segmentation strategies (ABC, product family, channel, customer).
• Ensure forecast accuracy and bias targets are achieved.
• Lead the Demand Review portion of the monthly SIOP cycle.
• Present risks, opportunities, and forecast changes to cross-functional leadership.
• Support executive SIOP presentations with data-driven insights.
• Drive consensus alignment between Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
• Identify upside/downside scenarios and model impact on revenue and capacity.
• Ensure forecast changes are clearly communicated to Supply Planning.
