Job summary

VFC Group in North Salt Lake, UT is seeking a highly analytical Demand Planner to forecast customer demand and optimize inventory. You will bridge sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to translate insights into actionable purchasing plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
• Strong forecasting, procurement, vendor management, and end-to-end supply chain skills.
• Technical literacy with ERP systems, WMS platforms, and demand planning software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to SKU-level reporting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and refine statistical forecast models to accurately predict future customer demand.
• Provide supply planning with monthly, quarterly, and annual purchasing requirements.
• Lead S&OP meetings to align business objectives across functions.
• Host monthly syncs with sales to understand market variations and promotions.
• Deliver accurate monthly demand data at the SKU level to supply and procurement teams.
• Collect and analyze data to identify factors impacting customer demand.
• Review historical sales trends and model data to forecast future trajectories.
• Collaborate to assess impact of promotions, production delays, and projects on demand.
• Provide strategic input to develop inventory and safety stock strategies.
• Coordinate the supply chain lifecycle for NPI and product phase-outs.
• Operate and maintain demand planning software, ERPs, and WMS.
