Job summary

HD Supply seeks a demand forecasting specialist to analyze and improve forecasts for product categories, supporting the enterprise S&OP process with data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.

The role involves developing forecasts, measuring forecast accuracy, and collaborating with multiple departments to incorporate new products, retirements, promotions, and regulatory changes into the planning process.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline with 2–5 years of experience; MS/MA with 2–4 years is also acceptable.
• Experience with demand planning and S&OP processes.
• Certification is required in some areas.
• Strong data analysis and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and execution of forecasts to support the enterprise S&OP process.
• Execute demand planning for product categories and deliver total demand forecasts.
• Measure forecast accuracy and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Lead a workstream to maintain forecast accuracy for one or more sales verticals.
• Create statistical forecasts and quantify risks using quantitative methods.
