Job summary

HD Supply seeks a Demand Planning Specialist to analyze and improve demand forecasts for multiple product categories using data-driven methods. You will support S&OP processes and develop repeatable forecasting processes to inform business decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to reflect new products, retirements, and promotions in the demand plans, and you will translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline; 2-5 years of experience.
• MS/MA in a related field; 2-4 years of experience.
• Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in forecast development and execution for S&OP across all segments.
• Execute demand planning for specific product categories, creating repeatable processes and analytics.
• Measure and improve forecast accuracy using quantitative methods and software; report results to stakeholders.
• Lead workstreams to maintain forecast accuracy for one or more sales verticals.
• Create statistical forecasts and identify risks using established methods.
• Collaborate with departments to onboard new products, retire old products, and reflect promos in demand plans.
• Retrieve, refine, and analyze data; translate findings into presentations for leadership.
