Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Demand Forecaster to drive gross demand and replenish inventories in support of customer and product strategies. You will partner with Replenishment, Buying and Planning to ensure forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency and strong in-stock performance.

In this role you will collaborate across teams, provide data-driven recommendations, perform scenario planning, and contribute to continuous forecast improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning, inventory management, or related field.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on outcomes and solutions.
• Experience managing high-SKU, high-revenue, and/or seasonal categories.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across teams using data and insights.
• Customer-first mindset and strong understanding of the retail environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, planning and forecasting tools; adaptability to new tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Replenishment Associates and Merchant partners to create demand forecasts that align with customer demand, merchandise strategy, and financial goals.
• Drive pre-season planning by providing data-driven recommendations, scenario planning, and actionable strategies.
• Proactively identify and communicate risks, opportunities, and insights related to item performance and inventory health.
• Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency, and process improvement through analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Participate in key business meetings to represent the forecasting perspective.
• Maintain accurate item attributes and default settings to support forecast integrity.
