Job summary

New England College seeks a Dean of the Health Professions Division to provide strategic leadership for nursing and health programs within a liberal arts framework. The Dean will advance teaching excellence, student success, accreditation, faculty leadership, and community partnerships.

The role requires collaboration with faculty, healthcare partners, and community organizations to prepare clinically competent, culturally responsive graduates ready for patient care in a dynamic healthcare

Qualifications

Earned doctorate in nursing or related field and RN licensure in NH or eligibility.
5-7 years administrative experience in higher education.
Experience with online and hybrid delivery formats.
Proven teaching and scholarly or professional attainment.
Experience leading accreditation processes (CCNE/ACEN).
Program development/expansion history (BSN/MSN/DNP).
Demonstrated partnerships with healthcare systems and clinical sites.
Excellent written and oral communication; teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Provide vision and strategic direction for undergraduate nursing and health programs.
Lead curriculum development and continuous improvement.
Develop new academic programs to meet college needs.
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate division faculty and staff.
Ensure compliance with state nursing boards and accreditation standards.
Coordinate reporting and accreditation self-studies.
Collaborate with admissions for recruitment and student success for retention and graduation.
Monitor NCLEX-RN pass rates and implement improvement strategies.
Build partnerships with healthcare systems for clinical placements.
Resolve student issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with institutional advancement on fundraising and grants.
