Job summary

York College of Pennsylvania seeks a highly collaborative Dean to lead the Myers School of Nursing and Health Professions (MSNHP). The Dean will oversee academic programs, budgets, accreditation, fundraising, and assessment, shaping the strategic direction of the school.

The role requires a terminal degree in nursing or health professions and a minimum of five years of senior leadership and faculty oversight experience, with a strong record of collaboration, recruitment, and student success.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in nursing or health professions.
• Minimum of 5 years administrative/leadership experience at or above department chair level.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory and collaborative leadership experience.
• Evidence of teaching, scholarship, and service at the postsecondary level.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the school's academic, administrative, financial, and operational functions.
• Oversee the School's budget, financial planning, and resource allocation.
• Lead development, implementation, and assessment of the school's strategic plan.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and laws; lead accreditation efforts when applicable.
• Serve on Provost’s Council, Deans’ Council, and other institutional committees.
• Provide leadership for academic programs, curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, evaluate, and retain faculty and staff; support professional development.
• Advance student success, retention, enrollment growth, experiential learning, and career readiness.
• Develop, strengthen, and maintain partnerships with business, industry, alumni, donors, and external stakeholders.
