Job summary

UL Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Data Scientist who bridges business needs with data-driven solutions. You will lead stakeholder discussions, frame ambiguous problems, and translate findings into measurable outcomes with strong business acumen.

You will own end-to-end analytics from discovery to adoption, partnering with data engineering, product, and platform teams while guiding executive decisions with clear narratives and actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, analytics, economics, engineering or related field.
• 7 to 10+ years of data science, analytics, decision science or closely related experience.
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders and translate requirements into analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with business leaders to understand priorities, constraints and decision needs.
• Lead discovery sessions to frame ambiguous challenges and define hypotheses for analytics value.
• Translate business needs into problem statements, success measures, and analytical plans.
• Own end-to-end analytics initiatives from discovery through adoption and measurement.
• Develop decision-support tools, dashboards, and prototypes using SQL, Python/R, Power BI or Tableau.
