Job summary

Columbia University’s Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research seeks a Research Program Manager to coordinate Data Science initiatives across multiple projects, stakeholders, and teams. You will manage program planning, resources, and process improvements, ensuring efficient, compliant execution of research priorities, while enabling collaboration across the research informatics ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience with four years of related experience.
• Experience managing people or a project and leading teams or peer-leaders.
• At least two years of experience working with research data and/or e-tools for research.
• Ability to be self-directed and make independent decisions within guidelines.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills for productive relationships with researchers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations for the Data Science team, aligning projects with CTSA priorities, goals and timelines.
• Provides central coordination of multidisciplinary teams across the research informatics ecosystem.
• Develops meeting presentations and reports; contributes content to websites and marketing materials.
• Leads in supporting the Data Science Council, coordinating meetings and documentation.
• Develops guides, checklists and templates to enable efficient delivery of informatics services.
• Supports progress reporting and grant writing for the CTSA grant related to the Data Science team.
• Organizes quality assurance activities across the portfolio of research informatics services.
• Partner with strategic management and external experts to improve programs and processes.
