Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health informatics, data management, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• 6–8 years in data governance, data management, or information governance, including 4+ years in healthcare.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale data governance initiatives in complex healthcare or life sciences settings.
• Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), metadata management, MDM, and data lifecycle management.
• Expertise in healthcare data standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, and handling of PHI/PII.
• Working knowledge of SQL to support data quality, governance, and reporting activities.
• Strong understanding of data ethics, consent management, and de-identification techniques.
• Familiarity with dental, clinical, operational, and financial data flows in healthcare IT systems.
• Proficiency with data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Atlan, Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview).

Aufgaben

• Develop and lead an enterprise-wide data governance strategy aligned to healthcare standards.
• Create a framework for data stewardship, quality, classification, MDM, and lifecycle management.
• Build an enterprise data governance operating model, policies and scalable processes.
• Lead the Data Governance Council and align across owners, analytics, compliance and technology.
• Define data ownership and stewardship roles, responsibilities, and accountability for data assets.
• Advise on governance best practices and industry trends.
• Implement scalable data quality management across oral, medical and social data.
• Coach domain data stewards to uphold standards and governance.
• Monitor data quality KPIs, compliance and governance maturity.
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality and resolve data issues.
• Manage data governance tools and metadata repositories.
• Document data lineage and ensure audit-readiness.
• Partner with legal for secure data sharing and Data Use Agreements.
• Ensure adherence to data retention policies.
• Prepare for SOC 2 and HITRUST certifications.
• Drive data classification and policy enforcement across platforms.
• Promote data literacy and governance awareness; produce executive dashboards.
