Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Strategic Sourcing lead to drive end-to-end procurement for data center electrical and mechanical OFE. You will own sourcing for generators, switchgear, UPS, chillers, and cooling equipment, partnering with engineering, demand planning, construction, and vendors to ensure availability and favorable terms.

The role focuses on negotiating Master Purchase Agreements, shaping inventory strategy, and monitoring global supply chain volatility to avoid delays.

Qualifications

• Have 7+ years experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement.
• Track record developing processes for forecasting, planning, and managing data center electrical and mechanical equipment for build-out and/or operations.
• Familiar with data center electrical and mechanical equipment (e.g., generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS, batteries, chillers, cooling towers, CRAHs/CRACs, pumps, CDUs).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant domain (e.g., electrical/mechanical engineering, construction management, supply chain) or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial negotiations and Master Purchase Agreements for critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Audit partner procurement schedules, ensure optimal allocation, and drive cost efficiency of supply.
• Implement frameworks for third-party data center partners and general contractors to adhere to terms and specs.
• Develop global inventory strategy including warehousing, 3PL, buffer stock, and distribution models.
• Monitor global supply chain volatility and execute contingency plans to avoid delays.
• Translate roadmaps into equipment forecasts and procurement pipelines.
• Partner with Finance to optimize inventory and capital deployment.
• Establish efficient return, repair, and replacement workflows with OEMs.
