Job summary

EnergyLink Sourcing LLC, a Quanta Services company, seeks a hands-on Sourcing Manager with deep data-center construction experience. Lead sourcing strategy, RFx events, and supplier negotiations to move complex projects from bid to build.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Purchasing to mitigate risks and drive on-time delivery. You’ll guide and mentor the sourcing team, manage long-lead equipment, and ensure competitive terms while supporting a growing data-center

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in supply chain, procurement, or construction management.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or project sourcing.
• 4–6 years of experience supporting data center construction, mission-critical facilities, or complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading complex RFP/RFQ processes, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, and commercial analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, technical specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
• Experience evaluating suppliers based on cost, capacity, lead times, quality, and delivery performance.
• Understanding of long-lead equipment and supply-chain risks affecting schedules.
• Experience managing multiple sourcing projects and bids simultaneously.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Own the sourcing strategy and bid execution for data-center construction projects from initial scope review through supplier recommendation and handoff to Purchasing.
• Review RFPs, drawings, BOMs, specifications, schedules, and project priorities to turn technical requirements into actionable sourcing plans.
• Source data-center equipment and construction scopes including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, power distribution, cable, cooling, controls, and low-voltage infrastructure.
• Lead RFx events, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and bid leveling to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery commitments.
• Identify long-lead equipment and supply-chain risks early and develop sourcing solutions that protect construction, energization, and commissioning milestones.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Category Management, and Purchasing to resolve technical and commercial issues quickly.
• Build relationships with data-center suppliers while evaluating capacity, manufacturing constraints, quality, and performance.
• Coach sourcing specialists through real project work to develop data-center knowledge and sourcing capabilities.
• Track sourcing performance, improve bid turnaround and pricing accuracy, and help create scalable processes as the data-center business grows.
