QTS Data Centers in Cedar Rapids seeks a Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, preconstruction and construction for multiple campuses. You will collaborate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors and Operations staff to ensure clear communication and timely delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Science or Engineering, 5+ years in commercial construction, and MS Office proficiency; travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience across Lump Sum, CM at Risk, and Design Build from development through closeout.
• Proficiency with MS Office for executive updates and budgets; ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple campus projects with updated budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Create monthly updates on development program and project status for executive reviews.
• Develop master development program for sites including campus design and budget.
• Manage entitlements and permitting needs for assigned sites.
• Implement multi-phased site development plans to meet time, budget, and quality standards.
• Write scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning and support procurement.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Collaborate with procurement on equipment procurement and delivery.
• Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders.
• Monitor and report project budget and cost-to-date.
• Establish site schedules and lead teams to on-time completion.
• Review monthly pay applications and change orders with contractors.
• Coordinate security procedures with site security team.
• Develop deployment plans and communicate with QTS staff.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams on custom deal solutions.
