Job summary

Leo Berwick, LP is seeking a Senior Data Architect to design, build, and scale modern data platforms for PE-backed environments. The role combines hands-on data engineering with leadership to grow a high-performing team, shaping data architecture vision from initial client sessions through deployment and adoption.

You will work with data engineers, analysts, and visualization specialists, owning platforms, integration, modeling, and governance while aligning with business value and AI use cases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or architecture, including 3+ years in an architect or technical lead role.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and production-grade SQL and Python.
• Proven ability to drive business outcomes in PE-backed environments and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state data architectures and scalable data platforms for analytics and AI.
• Lead delivery across the full project lifecycle from discovery to deployment and monitoring.
• Design enterprise data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and ensure governance and data quality.
• Mentor data engineers and analysts and set architecture standards; translate complex concepts for clients and stakeholders.
• Present architecture roadmaps to client leadership and contribute to firm-wide accelerators.
