Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks a Customer Service Specialist to handle phone and email inquiries, maintain customer accounts, and process orders for strategic accounts. You will prepare quotations, inform customers of schedules, and coordinate with sales and purchasing to ensure on-time delivery.

The role is on-site in Fort Worth, TX, with a 8 am–5 pm schedule, Mon–Fri, occasional overtime and weekends. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a related field, an AA or equivalent, strong English

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field required.
• Knowledge of packaging products or distribution preferred.
• Experience with project management and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proven analytical skills with ability to identify and resolve problems.
• Fluent written and spoken English; bilingual preferred.
• Proficient data entry skills and MS Office proficiency.
• AS400 is a plus.
• Available to work on the last day of each month to process closing.
• Occasional travel; call center environment; headset required.
• Sales support experience is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the RFQ process: specify material, collect customer information, maintain quotes, and coordinate with purchasing and sales.
• Serve as primary contact for strategic customers and sales staff for project information.
• Provide prompt communication on order status and potential issues to meet expectations.
• Gather input, evaluate costs, production schedule, and order entry from a technical standpoint.
• Use problem-solving to achieve sales objectives and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Initiate and monitor multiple projects through development, production, and fulfillment.
