Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Senior Assistant Customer Service to represent the company to customers and coordinate with sales and operations. You will be the primary contact, building ongoing relationships, handling orders, quotes, and logistics while ensuring delivery commitments are met.

The role operates onsite from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and emphasizes accuracy, proactive communication, and problem resolution to deliver exceptional service to multiple customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment or similar industry.
• Demonstrates a customer-oriented mindset and the ability to act in customers' best interests.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving to ensure great customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent WestRock to the customer and act as a liaison between customer, sales, and operations teams.
• Be the first point of contact with the customer and set the tone for their WestRock experience.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with multiple customers and sales staff; manage orders and inquiries.
• Schedule demand on machines and ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
• Proactively track order activity and inventory levels and alert staff/customers to issues.
• Handle outside purchases for services and materials needed for projects.
• Produce customized reports and share data with customers.
• Assist the Quality Manager to research and troubleshoot quality issues.
