Francis Howell School District is seeking a Custodial Manager to oversee custodial services and facility rentals across the district. The role includes supervising staff, maintaining cleaning and safety standards, and implementing preventive maintenance for facilities.

The position requires leadership experience in custodial services, strong safety knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary degree or certification in facilities management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee custodial and facility rental services, ensuring compliance with district standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Supervise custodial staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating personnel to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of district facilities to maintain cleanliness and safety standards, addressing and resolving any issues.
• Oversee maintenance of custodial equipment to ensure safe operating condition and availability for staff.
• Implement a preventive maintenance program for custodial equipment and district facilities to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and manage budgets for custodial services, including procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Respond to emergency situations and implement necessary actions to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other district departments and staff to prepare facilities for events and programs.
• Prepare reports, memos, and other documents to track activities and budget status.
• Train custodial staff on best practices for cleaning, safety procedures, and compliance with district regulations.
