Job summary

The City of Richmond Police Department is seeking self-directed and detail-oriented candidates for the position of Crime Analyst. This role will perform administrative, strategic and primarily tactical crime analysis, including investigative, intelligence, and social networking analysis.

The incumbent will compile, collate, analyze, and disseminate data and reports on crime trends, patterns, and intelligence, using Power BI, ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Two years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may meet qualifications.
• Experience in a law enforcement setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform crime analysis to track incidents and detect trends.
• Compile complex statistical reports and forecast trends.
• Interpret regulations and procedures in a law enforcement setting.
