Job summary

Dun & Bradstreet in Florham Park, NJ, is seeking an Accountant to support financial operations, ensure accuracy, and assist audits. The role covers close processes, GL activities, payroll support, and reconciliation.

You will work with cross-functional teams, apply GAAP and local regulations, and contribute to system upgrades and initiatives. A 2+ year background in accounting and a degree in accounting or finance are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Auditing.
• 2+ years significant financial and accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of local statutory accounting, regulations, and tax compliance.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with taxation and transfer pricing is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work across functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare portions of the accounting close in line with GAAP and internal controls.
• Maintain Fixed Asset subledger, manual journal entries, and accrued expenses/revenue.
• Assist auditors with requests and prepare statutory accounts information.
• Support payroll processing and monthly close activities.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and perform SOX controls documentation.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to drive process improvements.
• Advise on new regulations and ad-hoc accounting requests.
