Amentum invites applications for the Senior Counsel & Contracts Manager role in our Energy & Environment group, hybrid in Reston, VA. The position supports nuclear and non-nuclear project pursuits, as well as commercial business, reporting to the Business Unit General Counsel and Contracts VP.

US citizenship is required for this pivotal, dual-role position within a $14B+ global enterprise. The role emphasizes strategic legal counsel, extensive contract negotiation, and lifecycle management

Qualifikationen

• Typically 10+ years of combined legal and contracts management experience.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar.
• Certifications in contracts management (e.g., CFCM, CPCM) strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience drafting/negotiating EPC contracts, government contracts (FAR/DFARS), and commercial energy sector agreements.
• Experience supporting nuclear project development, performance, licensing, and compliance requirements.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic legal advice to senior leaders on federal and commercial energy projects (nuclear and non-nuclear).
• Draft, negotiate, and review EPC contracts, services agreements, NDAs, MOUs, IP licenses, teaming and JV agreements, subcontracts, and project finance agreements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FAR/DFARS, DOE, NRC, ITAR/EAR, and related environmental laws.
• Lead contract lifecycle management, negotiations, administration, and closeouts for federal and commercial projects.
• Collaborate with proposal teams on pre-award risk and opportunities; participate in responding to government solicitations.
