Blue Energy is seeking an Associate General Counsel in the United States to provide strategic legal support across procurement, commercial and corporate matters, with a focus on project finance and nuclear energy development.

The role reports to the Deputy General Counsel and collaborates with business teams, outside counsel, customers, suppliers and investors to enable fast, safe energy deployment while maintaining compliance and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience, including top law firm experience, preferably in project finance, project development and/or energy sectors.
• Strong contract and commercial law experience, including project finance transactions.
• Commercial mindset with ability to balance business goals with legal and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn regulatory matters, including export control, in the nuclear context.
• Ability to manage outside counsel effectively and efficiently.
• Demonstrated creativity in legal approaches to complex problems balancing business needs and legal risks.
• History of integrity, sound legal and business judgment and strong communication.
• JD required with license to practice in at least one state.

Responsabilités

• Act as a trusted legal advisor to leadership on commercial contracts, project-specific considerations, and risk mitigation.
• Draft, review and negotiate supply and purchase contracts in support of engineering, construction and procurement teams.
• General corporate and transactional legal support: draft, review, and negotiate NDAs; handle entity formations; assist with corporate governance and contractual compliance.
• Ensure bankability of all project development documents, including site control documents, utility agreements and offtake.
• File, track and update a variety of business and legal templates and documents.
• Advise on regulatory/export control issues and coordinate with IP team on IP matters.
• Manage outside counsel.
