Job summary

Tract Capital is seeking a Corporate Counsel, Energy to be stationed at our Denver headquarters or hub locations in Seattle or Northern VA. You will lead energy transactions, regulatory filings, and complex contract negotiations across markets nationwide.

The role reports to the General Counsel and requires a JD and bar admission, 4+ years of energy and commercial transactional experience, plus strong drafting and project management skills. Travel to market teams may be required.

Qualifications

• JD required from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to and in good standing with a state bar.
• 4+ years of in-depth energy and commercial transactional knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate legal issues and risk in energy transactions and communicate recommendations.
• Oversee energy regulatory and market strategy and external counsel engagements.
• Draft, negotiate and prepare complex energy-related contracts and corporate documentation.
• Collaborate with real estate, energy, development and construction teams and cross-functional groups.
