Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an internship conversion candidate for the ETG/AEPAS/EEMS area in El Segundo, CA. You will support cost and schedule analysis, participate in life cycle cost work, and learn to develop integrated master schedules with senior staff guidance.

The role emphasizes analytical methods, acquisition planning, and collaboration with government and industry partners. A master’s degree is required, and some internship experience with Aerospace is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline.
  • 0-1 year relevant experience in Cost Engineering, Schedule Engineering, or Economic Analysis within aerospace/defense.
  • Prior Internship with The Aerospace Corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze cost and technical data to assess credibility of government and industry estimates.
  • Support research and analysis of schedule and technical data for procurement of cost-effective systems.
  • Participate in Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis and evaluation of contractor cost activities.
  • Develop IMS schedules and conduct Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs).
  • Interact with Aerospace personnel and customers in various locations.
  • Document analysis and present technical, cost, and programmatic findings to peers and management.
  • Training and mentorship will be provided.
