Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Engineering Economics & Cost Analytics Lead Engineer within the EEMS Department. You will lead cost engineering, economic analyses, and related acquisition studies, delivering independent insights to government customers and program offices.
Expect leadership of staff, development of methodologies, and collaboration across disciplines to optimize cost, schedule, and risk for space programs. Hybrid work model in designated locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, economics, or related field; 12+ years cost engineering/economics experience.
- Experience leading technical teams on cost engineering efforts, models, and business cases.
- Experience applying cost/economics to space, ground, launch, or related systems.
- Travel up to 10% domestically; DoD TS or TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead cost engineering and economic analyses including LCCEs, ICEs, IGCEs, affordability and cost-risk assessments.
- Provide independent, data-driven advice translating analyses into government and program decisions.
- Advance methodologies, models, tools, data practices, and peer-review processes.
- Mentor staff and collaborate across EEMS and with related sections.
