Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA is seeking an internship conversion position in the Sensors and Systems Department. The selected candidate will work full-time on-site, collaborating with engineers to design and build prototypes and provide electrical engineering support.

This role emphasizes hardware design, testing of digital and analog circuits, mentorship, and potential security clearance; prior internship with Aerospace preferred; GPA 3.0+, 0-1 year experience; opportunity for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related field) with expected/conferred within last 12 months.
• Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation is preferred.
• 0–1 year of industry work experience.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience testing electronics in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and build prototypes for internal and external customers.
• Provide electrical engineering design support to scientists and technicians.
• Design digital circuits, schematic capture, hardware debug and test, and operations support for newly delivered instruments.
• Test and troubleshoot digital and analog circuit boards in the lab.
