Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks an Affordability Cost Modeler to influence engineering, production, and sustainment decisions through advanced cost modeling. You will work with engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure cost-informed decisions across program phases.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years' cost modeling experience, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with engineering and data-processing tools, with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years cost modeling experience.
• Experience building and executing complex cost or engineering models.
• Experience with parametric, engineering-based, and activity-based cost modeling methods.
• Ability to interpret baselines, architectures, BOMs, and manufacturing readiness levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and run advanced cost models using engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing data.
• Lead cost evaluations of alternative architectures, supplier strategies, and sustainment concepts.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario-based assessments for cost trade-offs.
• Generate cost driver summaries and lifecycle cost visualizations for reviews.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure data accuracy and modeling consistency.
