Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support a diverse portfolio of construction projects across the San Diego region. This client-facing role will serve as the day-to-day interface for multiple clients, providing strategic cost management leadership across projects in diverse sectors.

The successful candidate will ensure client objectives are achieved through the delivery of value-added cost management services throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or in progress.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex projects.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide cost planning and present final cost plans.
• Review estimates with the design services team and general contractor.
• Prepare cost updates and executive summaries with stakeholders.
• Manage cost checks, valuations, and post-contract variances.
