Job summary

Labconco Corporation, a leading manufacturer of laboratory equipment, seeks a driven and analytical Cost Accounting Analyst to strengthen financial performance. In this role you will own cost accounting functions—inventory valuation, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis—while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range plans across operations, manufacturing, engineering and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant finance and costing experience.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience with ERP and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update standard costs (materials, labor and overhead) and perform variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory accounting including valuation, reserves, obsolescence, and aging.
• Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with operations and procurement to identify cost-improvement opportunities.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and long-range plans with senior leadership.
• Analyze product pricing, cost and margins for existing and new products.
• Provide insights to support monthly financial reviews with business units.
• Assist with pricing strategy and reporting improvements.
• Ensure data integrity and reliable reporting with IT and other departments.
