Job summary

SPT Labtech Covina is seeking a hands-on Cost Accountant to join the finance team. The role focuses on standard costs, inventory valuation, variances, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities to improve cost visibility and profitability.

The candidate will partner with operations and leaders, develop reporting tools, and support audits while ensuring compliance with group policies. Strong analytical skills and manufacturing-floor engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 3+ years of progressive Cost or Inventory Accounting experience in a manufacturing business.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs for BOMs and track unit costs across product lines.
• Analyze manufacturing variances such as purchase price, labor, overhead, and production volume.
• Prepare journal entries, schedules, and supporting analysis with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support inventory counts, cycle counting, and reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Identify process gaps and recommend costing accuracy improvements.
