Job summary

ACON Laboratories is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Cost Accountant to join our team in San Diego, CA. You will analyze production costs, maintain standard costs and BOMs, and provide insightful cost and margin analysis to support pricing and operational decisions.

You will collaborate with Production, Operations, Purchasing, and Sales to identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor variances, and contribute to continuous improvement of cost-control systems in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of inventory accounting and product costing.
Experience with SKU-level costing analysis.
Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP).
Ability to collaborate with production and operations teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze product costs from raw materials to finished goods.
Maintain standard costs, BOMs, labor standards, and overhead allocations.
Prepare monthly cost reports and profitability analyses.
Support month-end close for inventory and manufacturing costs.
Collaborate with Production, Operations, Purchasing, and Sales to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Assist with audits and ensure internal controls compliance.
