Job summary

Brentwood Industries, Inc. in Reading, PA is seeking a Corporate Cost Accountant to maintain and review cost accounting functions across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide cost analysis and ensure accurate manufacturing costs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 2+ years of cost accounting experience; plant experience is a plus. Familiarity with Syteline ERP and proficient Excel skills are expected, with PowerBI

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (required).
2+ years cost accounting experience (required).
Experience in a plant environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review product costing methodology to ensure manufacturing costs are accurately stated given current processes.
Perform routine audits of bills of manufacture to ensure product costs are accurate.
Ensure monthly results accurately reflecting the business activities.
Support monthly financial analysis, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget in accordance with corporate format and time requirements.
Identify improvement opportunities and drive to completion.
Actively participate with cross-functional teams
Create and update internal cost accounting documentation
Assist in the completion of special projects and reporting requirements.
