Job summary

Brentwood Industries, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant in Reading, PA to support commercial contracting, governance, and GRC activities.

The role focuses on streamlining contract workflows, developing playbooks, and enabling efficient legal operations across a global manufacturing organization. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related legal field or equivalent experience, plus experience with CLM platforms and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related legal field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a legal department or law firm supporting commercial legal functions.
• Experience with CLM platforms and legal intake/workflow tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with attorneys and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Streamline contract workflows, reduce cycle times, and accelerate deal velocity.
• Develop and maintain playbooks, clause libraries, and self-service resources for contract negotiations.
• Assist with contract intake processes to ensure timely assignment and tracking.
• Support change management initiatives across the Legal department and related trainings.
• Create and maintain client self-help tools like dashboards and process flows for efficiency.
• Prepare documentation, training materials, and SOPs for legal tech.
• Support knowledge management and best-practice documentation.
• Maintain organized Legal dept files, templates, and reference materials.
• Act as liaison between Legal and Sales, Finance, IT, HR, and Procurement.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives related to legal processes, risk, and compliance.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects, reporting, and analytics to improve operations.
