Firefly Aerospace seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to own cost and inventory functions, leading month end close and supporting decision-making. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure accurate costs and robust financial reporting.

The role emphasizes process improvements, ERP enhancements, and close collaboration with FP&A for forward-looking plans and BOM accuracy. A manufacturing/R&D background with strong analytical skills is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing and/or R&D environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance related field.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing financial processes and supply chain.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.
• CPA/MBA desired.

Responsabilités

• Oversee month end close and maintain accurate costs, labor, overhead absorption.
• Monitor inventory counting and cycle counts with cross-functional teams.
• Perform variance analysis including purchase price, cost revaluation, and PO variances.
• Ensure ERP validity and support process improvements.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Engineering on cost drivers and BOM accuracy.
• Support audit and internal controls compliance.
