Job summary

Firecrest Aerospace is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to build and run the accounting and financial planning function for its Stevens Point facility. You will lead month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls while partnering with the CFO and operations leaders.

You will drive reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and capital investment analyses to support strategic decisions in a high-growth aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including 3–5 years in controller/senior roles.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Excel.
• Excellent communication with operations and executive leadership.
• Understanding of INCOTERMS and their financial implications.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or regulated industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities for the facility, including AP, AR, payroll coordination, fixed assets, inventory, and GL.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close per U.S. GAAP and policies.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards for leadership.
• Lead annual budgeting process and coordinate with department managers.
• Analyze financial performance, costs, inventory, and profitability; provide actionable insights.
• Support pricing, contracts, and capital expenditure analyses.
• Maintain internal controls and support audits and tax reporting.
