Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a Pierce County Corridor Manager to align GCR, CEO office, and Capital Delivery teams with ambitious project milestones. The role requires strategic outreach, deep engagement with tribal partners and officials, and ensuring effective external communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, Public Administration, or closely related field.
  • Eight years in a political or legislative environment that includes responsibility for public policy, communications, or serving as a policy advisor; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic engagement plan aligning with capital project milestones and Sound Transit priorities.
  • Coordinate across GCR, CEO's office, and EVLE/TDLE teams to ensure alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Flag risks early and elevate issues to leadership to maintain a no-surprises approach.
  • Prepare materials and briefings for external engagement with Board members, officials, and stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, Public Administration, or closely related field
