Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice in Chicago, IL. You will provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and partnerships and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality tax work.

You will manage client portfolios, oversee engagement risk and billing, and contribute to market activities while developing your career through formal training and mentoring. The role offers opportunities with Fortune 100 clients and a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation or law firm.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM with a one-year runway to obtain an approved designation.
• Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations and partnerships; strong ASC 740 knowledge.
• Proven experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and partnerships for a variety of clients.
• Participate with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and tax provision calculations.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; manage teams of tax professionals and assistants.
• Manage a portfolio of clients; build and manage client relationships; deliver high quality tax service.
• Oversee engagement risk and financial performance including billing and budgets.
• Engage in market and business activities external to the firm.
