Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice in Chicago. This role focuses on providing tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and partnerships, managing engagements, and building strong client relationships.

The candidate will participate in ASC 740 tax provision calculations, oversee budgets and billing, and contribute to market activities. A CPA or equivalent credential is required, with years of corporate taxation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firm.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG’s approved credential listing; one year to obtain; see list via recruiter.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and partnerships for a variety of clients.
• Participate with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and tax provision calculations.
• Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects.
• Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients; build and manage client relationships; deliver high quality tax service and advice.
• Oversee risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets.
• Engage in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm.
