Job summary

The Salvation Army New Jersey Division seeks a Corporate Engagement Manager to lead corporate stewardship, sponsorship coordination, and cause-marketing efforts. You will manage a portfolio of partners, coordinate volunteer engagement, and support fundraising campaigns under the Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in proposal writing.
• Support and understand The Salvation Army mission.
• Highly organized; capable of planning and implementing strategies amid a complex, multi-relationship environment.
• Strong analytical skills to analyze data and develop targeted strategies.
• Creative, collaborative approach to craft funding contacts.
• Bachelor’s degree in related area preferred or relevant professional experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and Salesforce; training provided.
• Driver’s license and vehicle; ability to travel in NJ and beyond.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a process to identify needs and match to corporate foundation funding opportunities.
• Support stewardship of a portfolio of corporate partners with timely acknowledgments and ongoing relationship management.
• Collaborate to develop renewal and upgrade strategies based on engagement history and priorities.
• Coordinate corporate participation in divisional fundraising initiatives and events.
• Identify corporate volunteer opportunities and coordinate employee engagement with facilities and programs.
• Maintain up-to-date list of corporate contacts and track actions in donor database (Salesforce).
• Coordinate with Volunteer department to vet and track corporate volunteer groups.
• Research and identify gifts-in-kind programs; coordinate with corps and staff for donations.
• Support proposal writing, impact reports, and sponsorship packages for local partners.
• Work with Divisional Marketing to highlight philanthropic partnerships and create collateral.
