Job summary

Houston Symphony Society is seeking a Manager of Corporate Relations to identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate partners while deepening relationships with current donors to support the organization’s growth and community programs.

This full‑time, exempt role reports to the Director of Institutional Giving in the Development department, requires a 4‑year degree and at least two years of fundraising experience, and demands excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills with occasional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of two years fundraising experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Great attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with quality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison and relationship manager for corporate entities for financial and in-kind support.
• Manage a portfolio of corporate donors to support fundraising goals.
• Assist in developing a strategic plan for acquiring, renewing, and increasing funding.
• Prepare letters of inquiry, proposals, reports, and other communications for corporate donors.
• Coordinate corporate recognition with Development and Marketing/Communications teams.
• Coordinate recognition approval process with corporate partners.
• Identify new corporate prospects and perform preliminary research on potential donors.
• Attend concerts and donor events as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
