Job summary

Hamline University invites applications for a Corporate and Foundations Relations Director who will cultivate a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects with a focus on gifts of $500,000 and above. The role entails partnering with academic leadership and other departments to identify opportunities and create strategies to secure major gifts.

Qualifications

Expert communication, both verbally and in writing, to develop donor relationships.
Ability to engage high-level donors and persuasively align priorities with Hamline's goals.
Proven track record in corporate/foundation fundraising or high-level client relations.
Strong collaboration across departments and exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects (approx. 75–125).
Develop strategies with leadership to cultivate gifts of $500,000+.
Coordinate with Institutional Advancement and other departments to promote donor engagement.
Prepare proposals, letters of inquiry, and gift agreements; document donor intent per policy.
Lead or participate in events and donor stewardship activities; travel as needed.
Stay current on development best practices and industry trends.
