Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Assistant General Counsel for an established electronics company with a global footprint. This role partners with business leaders to provide practical guidance on commercial, corporate, IP, employment, regulatory, M&A and other matters.

You will draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, advise on risk and strategy, work with R&D and Marketing on IP, supervise outside counsel, support corporate governance, and help build efficient

Qualifications

• J.D. and admission to a U.S. state bar; Oregon admission or eligibility for Oregon House Counsel preferred.
• 5+ years of legal experience, with meaningful in-house experience preferred.
• Strong commercial contracting experience across a variety of agreements and business relationships.
• Practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal issues and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements (NDAs, master, development, licensing, supply, distribution, reseller, sales, service, consulting).
• Advise business leaders and cross-functional teams with practical guidance while managing risk.
• Advise on trade regulations, employment, IP, and other legal issues affecting the business.
• Partner with R&D and Marketing on IP matters, manage portfolio and new patent/trademark applications.
• Manage and collaborate with outside counsel on litigation, investigations, IP, and other matters.
• Support parent and worldwide affiliates on corporate and commercial matters.
• Assist with corporate governance, M&A, and other strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to development of legal operations and processes.
