Qualifications

Active Texas Bar license
5+ years of substantial experience in commercial contracts and business transactions
J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Proven ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
Strong hands-on contract negotiation experience with customers, suppliers, vendors, or other counterparties
Ability to manage routine contract matters independently, identify material risks, and elevate when needed
Strong legal drafting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

Contract Management: Independently draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements.
Commercial Negotiation: Lead and participate in contract negotiations balancing legal protection with commercial objectives.
Risk Management: Identify and assess key legal, compliance, and commercial risks and provide practical recommendations.
Business Partnership: Work with sales, procurement, operations, engineering, finance, and other teams to provide practical legal support.
Legal Operations: Manage contracts through the full lifecycle, maintain records, and support templates and procedures.
