Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license and in good standing.
• 5+ years of substantial experience in commercial contracts and business transactions.
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Proven ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Strong hands-on contract negotiation experience with customers, suppliers, or other counterparties.
• Ability to manage routine contract matters independently, identify material risks, and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Independently draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Commercial Negotiation: Lead and participate in contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, vendors, business partners, and their counsel.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess key legal, compliance, and commercial risks and provide clear, practical recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Business Partnership: Work closely with sales, procurement, operations, engineering, finance, and other teams to provide practical legal support.
• Legal Operations: Manage contracts through the full lifecycle, maintain legal and contract records, and support the development of contract templates, operating procedures, and legal processes.
