1585 Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead monthly close and financial reporting across our healthcare portfolio. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, revenue recognition, and coordination with external auditors and tax advisors.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, healthcare finance experience, and the ability to implement internal controls while growing with the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of public and/or private accounting experience in healthcare services.
• CPA license preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and dynamic reports.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and consolidations.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process and prepare financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee AR/AP, payroll, treasury, leases, and fixed assets.
• Manage revenue recognition with billing data, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with auditors and tax advisors, supporting PBCs and audits.
• Improve processes and internal controls after acquisitions.
• Develop financial KPIs and monitor risks and opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, lender reporting, and cash flow planning.
• Mentor accounting staff and lead a high-performing team.
• Lead special projects and expand capabilities as the business grows.
