Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA is required.
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience including Controller or senior leadership roles.
• Defense, aerospace, government contracting, or closely related industry experience.
• Experience in acquisition-driven or roll-up environments including accounting integration of acquired businesses.
• Experience overseeing accounting across multiple entities or operating locations.
• Experience building or professionalizing accounting functions in startup/rapid growth settings.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, consolidations, intercompany accounting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the corporate accounting function with scalable processes and controls.
• Provide oversight to plant controllers at acquired entities to standardize practices.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll, cash, inventory, cost, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.
• Lead monthly close, consolidation, and timely financial reporting across entities.
• Establish policies, procedures, reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and government contracting requirements.
