Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience at Controller/Manager level.
• Strong US GAAP accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience leading acquisition integration and purchase accounting.
• Experience in private equity-backed, multi-entity environments preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a small accounting team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including ledger, payables/receivables, payroll, and monthly close.
• Develop and lead a 3–4 person accounting team; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure timely, accurate US GAAP financial reporting across entities.
• Lead acquisition integration and onboarding of acquired businesses into the reporting structure.
• Oversee purchase accounting, allocations, opening balance sheets, goodwill, and intangibles.
• Standardize policies, procedures, COA, and reporting across entities.
• Strengthen internal controls and scalable processes to support growth.
• Collaborate with CFO and executives on reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and acquisitions.
• Coordinate annual audits with external accounting and tax advisors.

A growing, private equity-backed environmental services company is seeking a hands-on Corporate Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and a team of 3–4 accounting professionals. This individual will play a key role in supporting the company's growth through acquisitions, leading acquisition integration, and establishing scalable accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and monthly financial close.
• Manage and develop a team of 3–4 accounting professionals.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Lead acquisition integration, including onboarding acquired businesses into the company's accounting and reporting structure.
• Oversee purchase accounting, purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, goodwill, and intangible assets.
• Standardize accounting policies, procedures, chart of accounts, and reporting across multiple entities.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes to support continued growth.
• Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and acquisition activity.
• Coordinate annual audits and work with external accounting and tax advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with acquisition integration and purchase accounting.
• Prior experience in a private equity-backed, acquisitive, or multi-entity organization preferred.
• Experience managing a small accounting team.
