Solid Ground is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (temporary) in Seattle to bridge vision and execution, aligning the agency’s goals with its Vision 2030. The COO oversees enterprise systems, IT, housing operations, administration, compliance, and the strategic planning cycle.

The role builds systems, standards, templates, and tracking for departments, coaching leaders and ensuring adherence to processes. It does not supervise program services or certain other functions, while remaining part of

Aufgaben

• Design enterprise operating systems and a decision-making matrix to define ownership and escalation.
• Create and train staff on standard operating procedures, internal controls, and role-attached documentation.
• Set management cadences and performance metrics; monitor adherence and drive cross-functional improvements.
• Ensure agency-wide compliance across programs, including licensing, background checks, mandated reporting, and safety requirements.
• Maintain compliance tracking, review findings, and escalate corrective actions when needed.
• Provide executive direction for recruitment, development, and performance management within operations.
• Design and manage the agency's strategic planning cycle with timelines, goals, and progress tracking.
• Oversee housing operations and facilities through the Director, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee IT and data systems, establishing governance and reliable reporting for leadership.
• Participate in executive leadership and governance, including budgeting and board-facing reporting.
