Job summary

Boutique Recruiting seeks a hands-on Controller to transform the company’s accounting operations and establish scalable financial processes in a high-growth reverse logistics business.

This role leads multi-entity reporting, prepares for the first GAAP audit, and builds financial infrastructure with a focus on controls, systems, and automated workflows. CPA credentials and strong accrual accounting experience are essential for ownership and rapid impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Active CPA certification required.
• 3–5 years of Controller experience, including direct oversight of accounting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition from cash-basis bookkeeping to accrual accounting with a structured monthly close process.
• Oversee general ledger activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Develop and manage consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare the organization for its first GAAP audit with internal controls and audit-ready procedures.
• Improve integration between QuickBooks Online, payroll systems, banking platforms, and settlement data.
• Oversee cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and high-volume transactions while strengthening oversight.
• Mentor accounting staff and drive scalable processes with automation and AI-driven tools.
