Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- in Englewood, CO is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury, compliance, and FP&A. The role partners with executive leadership while maintaining strong internal controls.

The position requires experience in asset-intensive environments and includes 3 direct reports. 90 days onsite, then hybrid with 1–2 days remote per week. Base salary $130,000–$160,000 plus a 20% annual bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Previous Controller/Assistant Controller or similar leadership experience.
• Proven experience developing employees.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and compliance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and partner with leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide leadership with financial insights, trends, forecasts, and recommendations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Develop profitability analyses, KPI reporting, and operational metrics.
• Monitor project, inventory, and asset-related financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce costs.
• Partner with leadership to support growth and business planning.
